You cannot cancel this domain because it was not registered with WordPress. HOW?

  So, I brought a domain name using WORDPRESS.COM and since it has messed up everything, can’t even access my website using wordpress.com I am trying to delete it but it says the following: You cannot cancel this domain because it was not registered with WordPress.com. Please contact support.

  Which I don’t understand…so far, no reply.

  If the domain was already taken, why was it available for purchase on wordpress.com? this is something I really don’t understand.

  Can anyone please delete this domain since nothing is working anymore? not even my normal wordpress.com.

  debarge.net – does not seem to be registered – so it can’t be canceled

  debarge.net – seems to have the Domain Mapping Upgrade

  If you want to use debarge.net with your web site here you need BOTH domain name registration and domain mapping

  Thank you for the reply, so what did I paid for if nothing works? when I go to https://wordpress.com/domains/add/mapping/debarge.net
  here’s what I get: Sorry but debarge.net is already mapped to a WordPress.com blog.

  Then (below): debarge.net is available!

  I’m not new to buying domain names on wordpress but when I usually do, it works right away, without me having to do things like “mapping”.
