You deleted the content of my site

    I cancelled the Business plan but you guys deleted all the content I had. :(
    How is that possible?
    My understanding is that the content would still be there with the free plan. And i would only lose any plugins or third-party themes i had installed.
    What happened?

    When you cancel a paid plan, your site reverts back tot the status previous to your paid plan, https://wordpress.com/support/manage-purchases/#downgrade-your-plan

    Hey there,

    Happy to help you with this.

    When I visit your posts and pages, I can see that they’re there. I think the confusion might be arising because the homepage is set to show the a page called home, with a latest posts block in place, which needs to be configured.

    You may want to set the to posts page to be the front page, which can be done via Appearance > Customize > Homepage Settings > and select Latest Posts.

    Thank you for your response.

    And yes you are right, then I realized that I did not patrician on the homepage, but the more than 1200 articles I had were there.

    Now I’m trying to figure out how to get a backup of the entire site with themes, plug in and all the content to install it on a self hosting. Exactly as it was before I cancelled the Business plan.

    How can I get a backup of the complete site if you guys took away my access to everything.

    Now how am I going to install the complete site on another server as I had it here? :(

    Hi there,

    The issue here is that when you cancel the business plan, it removes all features of that upgrade from your site. So all plugins, themes, and backups are removed when you downgrade. We advised you of this in your live chat with us on 8/11

    The person who was helping you at the time even mentioned this after confirming that you wanted to cancel:

    “Ok, I will proceed to cancel the plan, this will delete all plugins and themes”
