  I keep getting this error message & all I’m trying to do is invite my contacts to follow my blog. Also, why are we only allowed to invite up to 10 at a time?… I have hundreds from my business that want the invites to follow my daily updates…

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Not sure of the reason for this error message, but could it be a result of attempts to invite non-members? If your blog is public anyone can follow it, but that doesn’t mean you can invite anyone to follow it at the Invite New Users to Your Blog page. You can only invite WordPress.com members, using either their usernames or their account email addresses.

  Also, why are we only allowed to invite up to 10 at a time?

  I don’t know the reason for that limitation.

  Well, I’m still having the same issue & would really like an answer. I sent 155 invites & have several followers. However, I’m no longer able to send the remaining invites out. My site is public. I have other sites & I do not have this issue with them.

  Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.

  You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.

  Hi there,

  If you want to invite a large number of people to follow your blog, you might be better off sending a direct email to all of them (rather than using the invite feature in your dashboard). That way you won’t have to invite them in batches of 10.

  If you want, you can create a new page on your blog and paste the Blog Subscription Shortcode on that page. That will automatically create a form where visitors can enter their email address to follow your blog. If you email everyone a link to that page, they can follow you that way.

  Yes, I am the only one involved in my WP blogs…so there’s only one admin. That’s what I can’t figure out. If I’m the only admin…why am I still seeing that error message. I don’t mind sending 10 at a time. I can also invite them other ways…but this is more direct. However, I’m only having this issue with just that particular WP site. My other two are fine.
