You do not own that identity!

What the heck is this and why is it giving my a time wasting moment?

I have already logged into my WordPress.com a/c and went to comment on a blog on another website, after entering my log in details for my wordpress a/c it comes up with that message.

This is not the first time this has happened. So far with WordPress.com, I am not impressed with the user friendliness of this site!

    Annoyed and Angry!

Okay so my guess is that you are trying to comment on either blogger ie. blogspot blog or a WordPress.ORG blog, right? If so see here http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2013/08/10/crazymaking-blogger-comment-settings/ and know that this is NOT a WordPress.COM issue at all.

I’m trying to comment on a blog on blogger.com with my wordpress profile because it is an option in the drop down list to comment on that particular website.
Now if the situation is such that it gets complicated and annoying, I will delete my wordpress.com account as I do not blog, I only comment on blogs.
There are other options on the internet for this purpose, and I will exercise my freedom of choice.
Thanks very much and have a nice day.

Whatever. None of us are emotionally invested in your choice.

This is a long-standing issue with commenting on Blogspot blogs with an OpenID or Gravatar ID, which means it’s a problem with WordPress.com IDs. Blogger hasn’t fixed it in at least five years of reporting, so they’re unlikely to fix it soon.
