'You do not own that identity'

  I am simply trying to leave a comment on a blog post. I get a message not allowing me to comment that says, ‘You do not own that identity.’ I’m confused by that because I have an account and can sign into it.

  This sounds like you are trying to comment on a Blogger blog. The system uses OpenID. When you select WordPress as your identity, you need to enter the first part of your WordPress.com site in the box; for example, if your WordPress.com website is stevenrealife.wordpress.com, you would need to enter “stevenrealife” in the box.

  Thanks for the help. From your response I realized the problem. While I have a WordPress account, I did not have a WordPress blog. My blog is internal with my office website. So I created a WordPress blog, and then I was able to follow your instructions above and it worked. Thanks.
