'You don't have any followers', after registering email addresses in a subscribe widg

    I don’t get any followers under the ‘followers’ portion of my stats, even though I registered email addresses through the standard subscribe widget on the published blog.

    I believe that stats only display email followers who have confirmed their subscription. As I don’t see any mention of this in the support documents on Stats or My Followers, I’ve tagged this for Staff reply as well.

    Hi there,

    I can see two pending email subscriptions on your site. Those aren’t shown in your follower count, as pending subscriptions don’t get any email notifications of your posts, so @justjennifer’s guess is correct.

    To test this properly you’ll need to follow using an active email address where you can receive the confirmation email. The fake testing emails you used won’t work, as they cannot receive the confirmation email.
