You Have Charged Me For A FREE Plan
-
Hi,
I canceled my domain name and subscription and went back to a free plan and you refunded me.
However, you have now charged me for a domain and a paid plan again and the money has been taken from my bank without my consent, and there is no way of getting that money refunded through the billing details in your purchases section.
I want my money back and I want it back now.

I have now reported this to Paypal and to my bank.
Please would you show some urgency in resolving this please.
Thank you.

All wordpress.com plans are by default on Automatic Renewal, https://wordpress.com/support/manage-purchases/#automatic-renewal
If you don’t see those charges under My Purchases, they are probably done on another account of yours. To find out what a charge made by wordpress.com is about, you can check this yourself at https://wpchrg.wordpress.com/

Thank you for the reply.
But, no, that is not correct.
I know about the renewal process. My previous domain and plan did renew and I canceled it, as I am allowed to do. You refunded me for that.
However, as I stated in my first post on this thread, you have now charged me £64.20 again. That is after I canceled the paid plan and reverted to a free one. That charge, unlike the previous charges which you refunded me for, is not viewable in my Paypal account but is on my bank statement.
As for other accounts, I do not have another paid WordPress account/subscription, which you would know if you looked into this properly and didn’t just copy and paste a generic answer to my urgent query.
Would you please look into this properly, and consult with Paypal and my bank who have both been notified of this and would like to talk to you about it.
Thank you.

Here are the dates for you:
I canceled the paid plan and was refunded for that on Thurs Feb 16th for £62.40. This is in my billing history. It is also in my Paypal account activity and on my bank statement.
On Saturday Feb 18th I was charged £62.40 by you again, even though I had reverted to a free plan on Feb 14th and been refunded my subscription for that on the 16th.
This payment on Feb 18th is not in my WordPress.com billing history. It is also not in my Paypal account activity, but it is on my bank statement and has been taken from my account, as I have confirmed with my bank just now.
Please, look into this properly, and liaise with Paypal who have been notified of this, as, again , there is no record of this payment in my WordPress.com billing history or with Paypal.
Thank you.

Good Morning –
I can help sort this out. Looking at the account I can see that you were charged on Feb 15th , £62.40 , for the renewal of your hosting plan and domain registration. We can definitely help you with a refund for the hosting plan portion of that renewal. The domain renewal is not eligible for a refund. The domain will remain registered through our system. If you’d like to point it to another hosting provider we can help you with that process. If you’d like to cancel it now, and avoid future renewals we are happy to help you with that as well. Keep in mind, that once a domain is cancelled it eventually gets released again and anybody can buy it, and they can build any sort of site they want on it. If this domain was associated with your name, profession, business, etc.. then it’s not wise to leave that to chance. Write back to tell me how you’d like to proceed with the domain. For now, I have refunded the hosting portion of that renewal.

Many thanks for refunding the hosting portion of the renewal.
Having checked my bank account, where there is no evidence of that, I would assume that it will take one or two days for that to appear/clear in my account. Would that be correct?
As for the domain name, I have already canceled the renewal of that, hence why I am writing all of this on a community forum, as I no longer have a paid plan and therefore cannot speak to you directly.
Anyway, many thanks again for resolving the most pertinent part of this for me. It is much appreciated.

That is correct Most banks take 7-10 days to reflect a credit back onto your account. You could try to contact them to see if they can expedite that process, but as the funds were refunded on our end, we have no control over that timeframe.
I hope that clarifies things!

We’ve just re-sent the refund receipts with the transaction IDs for the refunds, in case that helps them find those refunds. Let us know if you need more help from us.
