  From reader comment: Once I initially commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now every time a remark is added I get 4 emails with the same comment. Is there any means you’ll be able to take away me from that service? Thanks!

  This is the second message from this person. Frankly, I think its like 90% of all commlents: SPAM I get several complaining the music starts when they open the page and others complaining the load time is too long.

  Your comment feature is useless. I’m going to turn it off – as it is very difficult to find real comments amid all the spam. I’ll simply manually advise that BECAUSE of all the spam enabled by the WordPress system, they will have to email me and I’ll post it as an addendum at the bottom of the original post. THAT will be far simpler though considerably more stepwise intensive when I actually get a real comment (and I’ll KNOW its real)

  I’m sorry to hear you’re having this problem!

  Would you mind letting me know if each of the four emails that this comment subscriber received are duplicates, i.e. there was only one comment for which they received numerous notifications? Or if someone is spamming your posts and re-posting the same comment four times?

  If you notice that a particular individual is spamming your blog, you can block their IP address so that their comments automatically get sent to your “Spam” queue without your comment subscribers receiving a notification email:
