You should bring back the "link to existing content" option.

Noticed you rolled out a new version of WordPress in the last 24 hours. Nice work! (I wish I could code…)

I like many aspects of it, but I think you need to get back the “or, link to existing content” option.

See, when I’m trying to write and need to cross-reference something it is now much more of a pain to link to another page or post… unless I’m just missing something? ;)

Hi @meredithr0se, thank you for the suggestion! Bringing back the link search option is on the list as one of the things to update next. I am not sure of the exact timeframe though.

Is there any way to undo the update? I run a Tarot blog, so I have to cross-reference my posts very often and it is extremely fiddly to do it using the links…

So could I use the old WP that had that functionality I need?

@ssnewco, in the short term, you may use the WP Admin editor at https://tuitarotblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=post

The link search option will be added to the new WordPress.com soon. I will reply back here for you once it becomes available.

I just want to add my voice to this. I love the new format and appreciate the work that you all have put into making it run much more smoothly, but the “link existing content” feature is something that makes my life a lot easier. (I also run a tarot blog–ha!)
