Your plugin are not displaying any update notification

  • Unknown's avatar

Today I realized that all of the plugins I bought on worpress.com are not automatically update on my store (i’m hosting my own installation)
    How come ?

What do I need to do to get the plugins notification when new update?
And how to update them now?

I have no problem with other third plugins from other sellers.

Please let me know how to update them asap.

  • Hi there,

Can you share the URL of the site you need help with? I checked the account you used to post here, but this account doesn’t own any sites hosted on our servers, nor do you have any sites connected to us via the Jetpack plugin.

I do see some WooCommerce.com purchases under you account. Is that perhaps what you’re referring to?

If so, please contact WooCommerce support directly at https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/

    Hi,

    I’m hosting the site.

Note I disabled the autorenew, I have set them to autorenew yesterday.

    Now I see add site
I do not want to use the Jetpack plugin.
All the Woo plugins are already installed and set.

So how can I install the update without breaking the store configuration?

I receive notifications for all third party plugins and I can install the update very easily from the backend.

I’m looking for the same with your plugins.

    Thanks

Also, yesterday I have set autorenew (the plugin are expiring today)
and now I see resubscribe button and no new invoice was generated automatically.

So does the auto renew will be done automatically, do I need to renew them manually?

It’s not clear and I cannot contact support without sending the site report which is not necessary and I don’t want for security reason.
This is very hard to get support and instructions are not clear to me.

Now plugins are set to expired…
    very confusing

    This morning I saw this

    WooCommerce > Extensions > WooCommerce.com Subscriptions
But I do not agree about the usage tracking so I do not want to connect.
(And I guess it required the jetpack too which I don’t want to use).

So how can I update the plugin manually without breaking the actual plugin configuration?

    thanks

    Hi,

I just want to know how to update manually the pluginns without breaking the actual plugin configuration.

I won’t use WooCommerce.com Subscriptions because I don’t agree with the agreement about sharing the store data.

So without using the subscription how to update the plugins that are already installed.

I don’t understand why it would required subscription or auto renew to get notification and update.
As any other third party plugin can be updated easily and we get notification for it.

    Thanks

When you purchase a WooCommerce extension, you’re buying the use and updates for that plugin for one year. If you want to continue receiving updates, you need to renew them for another year.

As your site is not hosted here at WordPress.com, there’s not much else we can advise.

If you have further questions, reach out to WooCommerce Support through your account page: https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/

    I hope that clarifies things.

I finally got the answer from chat and I share the info because this is not documented.

From Woo backend we need to add plugin to Subscription in order to get automatic update and notification
WooCommerce → Extensions → My Subscriptions

or we can download a copy and install it manually, this will override the older version of the plugin, but it will *retain* the settings.
