I’m a webmaster for a business that is interested in signing up for your $299 / year WP premier package.
1. The proprietor would like to know how tech support is handled if information is accidently deleted off the site or if the site goes down?
2. Do you have 24/7 tech support?
3. How is tech support contacted? Is it strictly via text messaging?
4. Do you offer website backups daily, weekly, etc. in case information is lost with your premier package? -

This is great information but I’m still in need of finding out how your website backup system works.
Do you have backups for paid memberships and how much extra is that and how often do you back up active sites? -
WordPress.COM is mirrored on three massive server farms that are physically separated in the U.S. There is also a backup system in case all three server farms are hit by asteroids of something at the same time. The backups and mirroring are transparent to the you and you have no control over them, the staff takes care of that for you.
Note: there are some limits to the backup – if you blow some files away yourself, you are pretty much out of luck as they system is not designed to protect from Admin errors.
Everyone has the same backup system as best as I can figure out – so my lowly site has the same system that keeps CNN, MSNBC and other folks happy

We have email and live (text) support. There is no phone support at this time.
