What upgrade are you trying to buy, and for which site?
What type of credit card are you trying to use?
Note that we’re not able to accept all types of credit and debit card. We support Visa and Mastercard for payment in any currency, and a handful of other types, but only for purchases in specific currencies or from specific countries.

Trying to add a payment method to my account so I can purchase shipping on WooCommerce Services for my website. I am in the USA and using a valid Visa card.

If the card is being declined, you’ll need to contact your credit card provider about this.
Overall, there’s nothing on this end that would block you from paying.

Card was not declined, it just kept looping back to the page where you enter the card info and not giving any error message.

First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

I am having the same issue also. I’ve tried several credit cards, all accepted by WordPress, in the United States, the browser is up to date, etc.
What is the solution?

Ok. Can you try adding the card here:
https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/add-credit-cardThen see if that solves the issue on WooCommerce? That site uses the same account as WordPress.com, so adding the card there should fix it.

That is where I am trying to add the card, but keep getting the error “There was a problem with your credit card. Please check your information and try again.”

Okay, the first poster mentioned they were not getting any error messages, just a loop back to the same page.
Is there any chance you could try another card to see if you get the same thing?
