YOUR SITE OVERWROTE MY ALREADY POSTED POST WITH AN OLD DRAFT THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THERE
-
Looking at my drafts I found some odd half finished posts that I had already posted so I started deleting them only to learn that even though they said they were drafts they were posted posts… I was able to restore the posts I deleted.
I also edited one post that was in a rough state (the body of the post was not there) so I assumed it was a copy I made for a future post so I edited the title. BUT IT WASN’T A DRAFT AT ALL it was the REAL POST even though the body of the text was not there. I saved it with the new title and IT OVERWROTE MY POST WITH THE OLD EMPTY DRAFT!!!
Can you please restore my original post?

As you know you can restore deleted probably know you can restore deleted posts as long as 30 days have not passed. See here:
if that doesn’t help you feel free to add the ‘modlook’ tag to the post so that a moderator/staff member can take a look to help you.
Hope you get it all fixed,
Good luck -

Yes, I retored the posts I deleted… it is the edited post that got overwritten that I have no recourse on except WordPress restores it.
I will add that tag, thank you.

Hi @yaykisspurr, have you looked at your post revisions? We keep up to 25. You can see how to find them here:

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I really appreciate it supernovia!! *big sigh* I am so relieved!! It worked and now I know what to do if that happens again… though I’m not sure why my drafts have old potentially post killing copies but at this point I don’t care and am happy to have my post back!!
It was one of my best written about this subject, woot!!
