Your subscription could not be activated, it may have expired

Getting this error
“Your subscription could not be activated, it may have expired”
when I try to confirm subscriptions for every post I’ve subscribed to in the last several hours. It’s occurring across two different sites for me, so I don’t think it’s tied to the individual sites. I have some 2600 subscriptions active prior to this without problems. The last post I was able to successfully confirm the subscription for was five hours ago.
Any suggestions appreciated, even if it’s just “This happens, give it ’til morning.”

Hey there –
Can you provide a link to your blog? It will better help us help you. If it is a WordPress.ORG blog, I would suggest seeking out assistance in their support forum.

The site where I am an admin is thetruthaboutguns.com, and it’s that site and a sister site thetruthaboutknives.com (where I am not an admin) that my subscriptions have been unsuccessful in confirmation.
However, they definitely are .org sites, and I was unaware of the distinction until you pointed it out, so I will seek help over there.
In any case, thanks for the response.

This problem is unrelated to my site specifically. Maybe it’s me. I am now getting that message
“Your subscription could not be activated, it may have expired”
across four different, unrelated-to-each-other sites. I’ve tried leaving comments under three different email addresses, and I get the same message every time when I try to confirm a subscription.
I realize this forum is for helping people that run WordPress sites, so where does one go for help for people that use WordPress sites? The only common denominator is me, not the sites or site owners.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

WordPress is of no help. Oh well, I have plenty of other blogs. Bye.
