your subscription did not succeed please try again with a valid email

    I look after this wordpress.com blog for a company and one of the subscribers recently unsubscribed from her email subscription (as advised by her IT department) as she has got married and has a new email address. She contacted me as she has tried to subscribe and got the above message.

    I don’t understand how can she be getting this message as she doesn’t enter her email as part of the subscription process. And how can she subscribe to and receive future posts?

    If her account email address is no longer active, WordPress.com would become aware of this fact when email message are returned undelivered. She should change her account email address. See the Update Email Address support page for instructions.

    Either that or she may associate the new email address with a different account.
