Your tricks are just too punishing for a learner

    So, I wanted to use the free version to learn how to create WordPress sites. But you have built in lots of limitations that just punish me for not buying the paid plan while I learn. I will try another tool instead. I may come back to your tool if I cannot find better options elsewhere.

    You can set up a fully functional website, on hosting with unlimited memory and unlimited bandwidth, completely for free on WordPress.com. Our hosting service also includes spam protection, security, SEO optimization, backups and automatic software updates.

    No other website hosting provider offers this – everywhere else you have to pay before you can even create a site, and depending on how much you pay there can be limitations on how many pages you can have on your site, and how much traffic you can receive before you have to start paying extra. And all the other features I mentioned above would require that you buy premium add-ons for your site, as those features are not included by default in the open source version of WordPress.

    The features we do charge for is so that we can pay for the servers on which your site is hosted, and for the salaries of the people who keep everything running. We’re a business, and if we didn’t charge for the use of some features, we would cease to exist.
