Your webform rejects my gmail address

I am writing not for help with my own WordPress blog but because the contact form at another WordPress blog rejects my gmail address [(email visible only to moderators and staff)]. To be specific, I’m referring to the contact form at https://wlmail.wordpress.com/contact/.

I’ve entered my gmail address both by using the system clipboard and by hand. I’ve also used alternative addresses. Every time the form rejects my email address, as if I’d entered *nothing* in that field.

How may I get this WordPress contact form to accept my email address?

Did you enter the email address that you used to register your WordPress.COM username account with?

    Hi @notbarterdotcom,

I was able to use that email address on a test contact form on a test blog of mine without any trouble. Are you still having trouble entering it through the form you mentioned? Could you try another email address by chance just as a test? Also, could you try another browser like Google Chrome? I’m wondering if this is an issue with your browser version.

    Many thanks, timethief and jeremey.

The good news is that following jeremey’s advice got my email address accepted (using IE instead of Firefox). Also, as timethief suggested, I was able to achieve this happy result only by using my WordPress registered address. (Other addresses did not work in either browser.) The whole situation was strange and somewhat unsettling, but I’m grateful to you both for taking the time to help me.
