  Is this article supposed to work to get a youtube video into a widget?

  the bare URL d/n work; at a minimum you need brackets around it, not just the bare URL from the browser as the article says;

  amazing that this area which must be common is not better documented in en.support

  If you place a YouTube link on a line by itself, it should resolve to an embedded video without needing any HTML or special code.

  If that isn’t working properly for you, please let me know the exact link to a page or post where it’s not working, and I will take a look for you.
