YouTube advertisement put into my blog
-
I was looking through an older page on my blog today and found a YouTube advertisement on the bottom of the post. I did not know that WordPress could put ads on our blog without our permission. My blog is categorized as “ad-free” on the blog aggregator hypem.com, and I don’t want it to lose that status. Would love insight into why/how the ad go there.
I took a screenshot because the ad disappeared the next time I revisited the page, but in case my link didn’t work, the ad appeared bottom of a post it says ADVERTISEMENT: and then there is a 30 second ad for insurance embedded in the post. This is the post I saw it on at the time http://theuntzandtheemo.com/2011/07/25/beach-bas/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.com has been running advertising on our free hosted blogs since 2006. Many bloggers do not know this because despite the fact they ticked the box required to get a free blog, they did not read the ToS. Many also do not read features page, or advertising entry in the support documents after registering their username and blog(s). Also note that as the ads do not display to us when we are logged in, and as many use browsers with ad blockers when logged out, they may not realize they are there at all. The only way to get rid of all advertising on our free hosted WordPress.com blogs is to purchase an annually renewable No-Ads upgrade.
If you feel an ad is inappropriate please take a screenshot of it and send it to Staff by emailing support@wordpress.com or upload it into your Media Library and contact Staff and let them know it’s there for them to view.

WordPress.com basically owns your blog because they give you free hosting, if you don’t like the ads switch over to your own hosting through WordPress.org and it won’t be an issue.
