youtube as a widget

hello,
I’m new to wordpress this week and am having difficulty working out how to link my youtube account to my blog.
I easily linked my flickr….then couldnt see a youtube widget so am trying to use ‘text’
my problem is I can’t find my URL or what ever I need, to cut and paste into the widget ‘text’
I’m new to youtube as well which doesn’t help.
I have quickly youtubed my problem but found nothing.
Can some one please help and direct my to the link I need to find on youtube?

And we’d need the link on youtube and what exactly it is you want to do with it on your WordPress.com blog.

Im still really confused.
To me under ‘your blogs’ it says
Amanda
amanda28192.wordpress.com
but when I searched for the domain amanda28192.wordpress.com when i was signed out it says it doesnt exist :S
I thought I set it up right and I followed all the steps….
am I suppose to have a gap between the ‘a’ and the ‘28192’??How do I fix this?
and with my youtube account…I want to have it along the side as a link ……just like my flickr account….so people can click through to see my youtube account etc
my main focus now is making sure i have made my account properly

1) Your blog URL is:

But you’ve made your username link to this (wrong extra dot after “amanda”):
http://amanda.28192.wordpress.com
You must go to Users > Personal Settings, scroll down to Account Details, correct the URL in the “Website” field, click Save Changes.2) To create a link to your Youtube channel, you use this code model in the text widget:
<a href="YOUTUBE URL HERE" target="_blank">VISIBLE TEXT HERE</a>
But you can make it more interesting if you use an image link instead. If you’d like that, upload a suitable image via Media > Add New, copy its URL, then go to Appearance > Widgets, add an Image widget, paste the image URL in the “Image URL” field, paste your youtube URL in the “Link URL” field, click Save. -

I didnt even see that mistake….im hoping i have fixed it now…if some one could back up this claim that my blog finally works?? :D
and now to adding the youtube link finally….that is a really good suggestion about an image link instead….i’ll have a go – wish me luck !

Yes, your username link is ok now.
But the youtube link isn’t: you’ve got the actual code showing instead of the result it should have produced. Maybe you copypasted it in a text file first then copypasted it from there into the widget? (And of course where I wrote VISIBLE TEXT HERE you put your own text, for instance “My Youtube channel” or whatever you like.

I might have a go at making the image link instead but at least now I know I can at least link it as a minimum
