YouTube embed?
-
I thought the process was simple: copy the YouTube embed code and WordPress.com does the rest, but my post just has multiple lines of embed code.
-
It should be as simple as that; you get the url from YouTube, scroll down to the video tab and click send to editor. Is that what you’re doing? http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/29/how-do-i-post-a-youtube-video/
If it’s still not working, can you post the code you’re trying to use between backticks so we can have a look at it? (That’s the key to the left of the 1 and above the tab on your keyboard.)
-
To embed youtube videos simply get the URL of the video then put it in the [youtube=] tags.
-
I wasn’t doing either; I was just copying the embed code and pasting it into my post, like this:
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/O8AgcdIeDMY&hl=zh_TW"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/O8AgcdIeDMY&hl=zh_TW" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
so, I should put that between [youtube= and ]? -
Put the video url in between [youtube= and ]. For example, if we wanted to embed this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Gf-Q2rDd6Tw we would put:
[youtube=http://youtube.com/watch?v=Gf-Q2rDd6Tw] -
In this case it would be
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/v/O8AgcdIeDMY&hl=zh_TW]You use only the URL of the video, wordpress takes care of everything else in the background.
