  To clarify:

  WordPress.com did not change. YouTube changed. It is far more difficult to find the correct URL to use, thanks to their design geniuses.

  In order to find the correct URL for embedding now, you must look below the video, and click on the Share button. Copy the URL that is right there at the top of the box that opens up. Use that.

  They are almost as bad as Facebook with these redesigns that reduce utility

  None of these suggestions are working for me. No matter what I try, when I preview my post, it is completely blank. Any other suggestions?

  This really helped me, most simply stated: used code BELOW video in youtube under the “share” tab vs. the URL address which previously (and sometimes STILL) works. So glad that manydrums was persistent in asking until it was resolved, since I shared the same problem. :) Thanks!
