Youtube embed: how to set size & align center?
-
Is there a non-murky way to set the size of a youtube [embed] element and align it center?
When I tried this in Baskerville theme, the youtube embed has always used up the full page/post width, or at any rate it was left aligned, no matter what I did.

Hi there,
The following support page helps you. If you modify a shortcode, you can change width, height, and so on.

Thanks hacchism. Yes you’re right resizing the embed word.
The real problem is that
- aligning
apparently doesn’t work in Baskerville. The embedded video is always left aligned, no matter what shortcode or paragraph settings I add.
@Wordpress: is it a Baskerville theme CSS bug? How can it be fixed?

Hi there,
I think this is not the issue of the Baskerville theme. The Youtube shortcode doesn’t support a center alignment. Even if you add “&align=center” into Youtube shortcode, it doesn’t work. The same is true of other themes.
In order to center-align your video, you need to select the youtube shortcode and press the “Align center” icon on the Visual editor. This works well on my end.
Please try and let me know if it works well for you.

so simple, I don’t believe it. It’s via the paragraph text-align property. I tried everything else.
thank you hacchism, you saved the day!
