Youtube Embed Parameters

  I’m trying to use certain youtube embedding parameters when using the YT shortcode on my blog.

  autohide=1 works to hide the title bar at the top of videos, as I would expect.

  But autohide, controls, autoplay, etc. do not seem to be working. I suspect the trouble is that the shortcode isn’t passing certain parameters through when embedding.

  Is there a way to utilize more of the youtube embed parameters through a wp.com site through a different embed technique?

  I’ve been using gigya to force some parameters, but that’s clunky and eliminates responsive widths, etc. I’d prefer a native approach if there is one.

  Everything related to YouTube short code is documented in YouTube support doc. This is pretty much everything we have.

  Thank you for the quick response. The parameters listed in that support doc are pretty sparse compared to the available YouTube parameters: https://developers.google.com/youtube/player_parameters

  I was just hoping that there was a way to utilize some of those other parameters. Sounds like there is not….
