Youtube embedding issues
-
The embedding of Youtube videos has quit working for my site (bizzammovienews.com). I don’t know what happened and no matter what I try, all I get is a link. I have never had problems before, but now I cannot get them to work at all.
-
Sometimes, your browser pastes a URL as a link into the editor.
When you see it blue and underlined in the editor, highlight it and hit the toolbar icon that looks like a broken chain to unlink it.
-
I tried that. I tried all the troubleshooting tips and have had no luck. I have tried copying the URL and the share link from Youtube. The share link is what I used to use.

These are the three that spring to mind right away. Have never had any trouble before.

All three are still links, we dont turn links into video embeds.
You’ll need to highlight the Youtube URL, hit the broken chain editor button, then the big blue Update button to save the post.
-
That is where my problem is. I just went back to http://bizzammovienews.com/2013/04/04/exclusive-interview-with-davey-suicide-2/ and did as instructed. Highlighted the YouTube url, clicked the broken chain, then updated. When I viewed the post again to make sure it was working, it was a link again and not embedded properly.
-
When I click on the chain to see what the link is, there is no link in there. It is automatically creating the link when I publish. Then, when I go back to edit, it still shows no link. This is why I’m confused. I’m closing in on 700 posts on my page and have never had any problems. And I do a lot of YouTube videos.

Oh my, there’s a lot going on behind the scenes here.
Your browser is not only copying the link, but for some reason assigning the blue color to it. This is rather odd and annoying.
Edit http://bizzammovienews.com/2013/04/04/exclusive-interview-with-davey-suicide-2/ and switch to the Text editor tab, you’ll see:
<div><span style="color:#0000ff;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDoFerr5gOM&feature=share&list=PL8OdX0XwSSvLtOy0xyDfl3EWgrEDcnL3J</span></div>
<div></div>That should be simply:
Feel free to adjust that in the Text editor tab. The styles are coming over from what ever you’re copying from, so to avoid this in the future, just paste into the Text editor tab.

Awesome-sauce! That did the trick! Now, if I could only figure out why that just started happening . . .THANK YOU! You rock!
