youtube in feeds
-
When embedding a youtube clip,it appears correctly on the blog itself. How come on the feed the preview/display image looks like a image thumbnail and not as what appears (the youtube still preview) on the blog?
I can’t say it’s my feedreader that has a problem because I receive feeds from other blogs and their youtube preview appears correctly.
Thanks!

Easier to answer when we’ve got a link to your blog. Is it hosted here at WordPress.com? And these other blogs you’re getting the feeds from: are they also WordPress.com blogs? I’d be surprised if the custom formatting we have here allows the videos to work in feeds.

Is this your blog? http://licious.wordpress.com/
I think it’s because YouTube video feeds use MediaRSS. If you view it in Feedburner or FeedDemon, it’ll show you thumbnails; that’s what it’s always done for me. You’re sure the other blogs you subscribe to display YouTube? -
CJ, yes, most are feeds from Blogger. Guess I’m anal, but it’s slightly annoying because the reader might think it’s an image, rather than a clip.
Oh, ok. Doesn’t work for WP. Got it. No, the other feeds I was talking about aren’t WP blogs. Thanks! I thought I was doing something wrong somewhere. Thanks, raincoaster.
