YouTube not embedding

I embed YouTube on my blog frequently, and have done so many, many times. However, today, they are simply not showing up. I suspect there are multiple ways of embedding YouTube, but I have always used the method of pasting the embed code and then surrounding it with the code [youtube= at the beginning and ] at the end. Today, when I do that, there is literally nothing in the post when I submit it (the code does not even appear in the final post). My blog is notesfromthefire.wordpress.com. I use Internet Explorer and Windows 7.

Nevermind, I figured it out. It wanted me to stop using the [youtube= code. Odd, as this is the second or third time in the two year history of my blog that is seems to just switch how it wants me posting embed codes, with no warning. Thanks for your help, as I’m sure somebody would have helped me!

Happened to me as well….so we have to update ALL our youtube video codes to use the new embed format ? Ouch….this is really a bad joke , wp should have been inform their users ;-(
