Youtube shortcode and subscriber email
-
Hello all,
I am using the Youtube shortcode plugin which enables you to paste in the url or youtube code , set some options and it inserts shortcode into your post that later will display an embedded player with your options set. This is all working great. However, the email that gets sent out to the user has this shortcode in it. See screen shot
screen shotCan someone tell me what I need to do just send out the title of the recent post as a link to the post url in ALL cases? We do posts with a lot of pics in them as well and don’t want the entire post showing up in their inbox with all the pics because they could just scroll there and not visit the site. So when a recent post email goes out, it would be great if it just had the post title as a link ( optional, if there is a featured image, insert that into the email as well inside the link ).
This would not only take care of this short code issue but fix other concerns we have with the entire post going out in the email update.
Thank you for your time and any help with this!

Sorry, I just noticed that the title and read more links are in the body of the email and are exactly what I need. So really all I need to know is how to NOT send the content of the post but instead, send the featured image as a link as well.
So the email would have the title then the featured image and a read more…clicking on any of these would take you to the post. Sorry for the original post, I did pay attention to the fact that the info was already there. Too distracted by the youtube short code :-)
Thanks

After contacting JetPack, they are aware of the issue and working on it, however they did give me a work around that works. After I add some text to the post, add the Read More tag to the post THEN add my youtube video short code. Everything after the Read More is ignored in the email that gets sent out and it works exactly as I need.
