YouTube Shortcode start parameter
-
The YouTube Shortcode obviously supports the start parameter. I’ve read it in the forum and tested it myself.
[youtube=URL HERE&start=NUMBER HERE]
(Number = how many seconds from beginning of video.)
The information is however missing in the corresponding support page.
If there are more undocumented parameters you should mention these as well. :)

Hello!
Thanks for that information! I had no idea that was possible.
Sometimes our volunteers teach us new tricks! :)
Thanks for bringing it to our attention – I’ll amend the support doc today! :)

Glad I could help that every user/blogger finds this information now in the right spot. :)
Cheers

Hi justpi,
I didn’t mean to steal your credit. :) When I searched the forum, the first thing I found was ‘timethiefs’ comment about it. I had no clue this information is over two years old. When I checked the YouTube Shortcode support page afterwards, I was surprised it’s not mentioned there.
Are you maybe aware of some other supported Player parameters that aren’t mentioned in the support page?
Cheers

Timethief’s reply on the thread you found is copypasted from older replies of mine.
Bit I wasn’t looking for credit, Martin: my previous reply was meant as a comment on csonnek’s “new tricks”.
I haven’t tested all the parameters, but most of them don’t work with the WP shortcode. You might be interested in this, however: -
