YouTube & Soundcloud Embeds

When I embed a video from YouTube or a player from Soundcloud, I have inconsistent success. Often, the embeds will not show consistently. Sometimes the YouTube video is there and sometimes there’s simply the link to the video. Somethings the Soundcloud player is there and sometimes there’s only a blank spot.
I’ve followed the troubleshooting, making sure nothing is hyperlinked and making sure I’m using the WordPress friendly code.
Any ideas?

What’s the address of the page where you encounter this issue?
Can you please try clearing out your cache and cookies using the guide below?
Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Internet Explorer or Google Chrome?

The problem has occurred repeatedly over a number of different posts. Sometimes the embeds will show and sometimes they will not, even if I’ve made no changes to the post.
One example is this post: http://anywheretheneedledrops.com/2013/12/23/on-32-and-years-closing/
There’s a YouTube video near the end of the post. Sometimes the video will show embedded in the post. Sometimes it will only show the YouTube URL.
I’ve cleared my cache and cookies again, though I do have my browser set to do so automatically whenever I close it (which is daily).
I’m currently using Firefox. I’ve not tried another browser.

I’ve just fixed it on that post using the Youtube shortcode as described at http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#embedding-with-a-shortcode
Could you please send me one of two more posts with this similar issue?

Can you explain to me what was changed? I use the WordPress YouTube embed tool when I place a video. Does that not automatically write the shortcode?

For some reason it didn’t write the shortcode. For future reference follow the steps in this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/youtube-embeds
Regarding Soundcloud, I can’t seem to reproduce the issue, both the Soundcloud embeds work on this end.
I’m currently using Firefox. I’ve not tried another browser.
Please do, this way we can rule out whether it’s a browser specific issue or not. Otherwise try these steps on how to reset your Firefox browser: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems

Excellent. I’ll write the embeds that way going forward. Thank you so much.
Currently, all the embeds are showing up properly, so I’m not able to recreate the problem with this or another browser.
