YouTube Subscribe Button on WP Pages?
-
Hi,
I wanted to include a YouTube subscribe button on one of my pages. I went to the YT button maker and got the embed code, but nothing happened when I plopped it into the HTML editor of the page.
Is something like this only possible in a Text Box widget? Is there any way to do this on a regular WP page?
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you trying to verify ownership with Google’s Webmaster Tools? Instructions for verifying your website are here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/#google-webmaster-tools

No. I just wanted to have a button on my wordpress.com site that allowed someone to subscribe to my YouTube channel. Is that possible at least in a text box widgets on the front page?

I came to this post because my query is more-or-less in the same category.
In my case I want to automatically insert an invitation to subscribe to my newsletter at the bottom of each post. In a sense, like a text widget but one that is inserted into each blog post.
Am I making sense? ;-)
Happy New Year to the team!

This is not the same thing at all.If you mean a newsletter published here http://learningfromdogs.com/ then see blog subscription shortcode https://en.support.wordpress.com/blog-subscription-shortcode/

Thanks Timethief. Appreciate the rapid response. Let me have a play with that shortcode and see if that is the answer.

Does the widget text box allow for HTML code? I am trying to embed a YouTube subscribe button, but it doesn’t appear to work.
I thought simple HTML code was permissible for the text box widget, no?

We do have code restrictions. Perhaps you are trying to post an iframes code, a JavaScripty code, or another code that the software is stripping out. https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/ I need to see the code here between [code] tags.

Oops! JavaScripty was meant to be JavaScript.
Also note that advertising code will be stripped out too.
