  YouTube video thumbnail not showing up in wordpress video.

  Hi, it sounds like you’re trying to embed a YouTube video into a page (e.g., similar to the instructions at http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/); is that correct?

  If so, could you please let me know which page on your site you’re referring to, so that I can take a look at it?

  Hi. Yes, that’s what I’m doing. Does it take some time to be reflected on wordpress? I switched it to another thumbnail in youtube but even after refreshing and opening a new instance of IE, it still doesn’t change.

  Hi, Ian.

  It appears that the thumbnail eventually takes effect–but it seems strange that it would take so long (as in the hours or into the next day–I’m not sure when it actually took effect).

  So yeah, it works–but I’m curious as to the lag time.

  I’m glad to hear it worked out. When a video is embedded, everything inside the video area is being loaded directly from YouTube, so the lag time between when the thumbnail is updated is controlled on their end.
