I am trying to Verify my YouTube with my Gravatar account. Every time I try it repeats…
Failed to verify account
We were unable to verify your account. Please try again, and make sure you grant Gravatar access.
Go back and try again.
I go back and try again and again and again and nothing happens. I checked a few other forum posts on this topic but nothing has an actual resolve.

You should now be able to connect your Youtube channel to your Gravatar account again.
It appears that Google has changed how this connection works from Youtube’s end, so we had to make some changes in how it works from our end. So after the connection is made your Youtube username won’t show in your Gravatar profile, but instead you’ll see a link back to your Youtube channel.

Sorry I took forever to get back (holidays are a time suck)
So I’m back to not being able to verify my account. Gravitar is showing my linked account but YouTube isn’t verifying. I’ve even tried the Google Webmaster/Search tools and I’ve got nothing.
Any ideas?

As I mentioned above, we had to change how this connection works, so Gravatar no longer verifies with your Youtube account. Adding Youtube under verified services just adds a link to your Youtube channel, and looking at your Gravatar profile that link was added correctly.

This is due to changes that happened on Google’s end, so we don’t have the option any more of verifying the account with them as we had in the past.
