Youtube video embed address didn’t work
-
Hello all,
I am pretty new to WP. Yesterday I tried embedding this Youtube video into my blogpost.
<object width=”660″ height=”525″><param name=”movie” value=”http://www.youtube.com/v/5PzL8aL6jtI?fs=1&hl=en_GB&border=1″></param><param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true”></param><param name=”allowscriptaccess” value=”always”></param><embed src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/5PzL8aL6jtI?fs=1&hl=en_GB&border=1″ type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” allowscriptaccess=”always” allowfullscreen=”true” width=”660″ height=”525″></embed></object>
however, when it was published, the video did not appear and the embed address that appeared on my blog is
src=”http://www.youtube.com/v/5PzL8aL6jtI?fs=1&hl=en_GB&border=1″ type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” allowscriptaccess=”always” allowfullscreen=”true” width=”660″ height=”525″>
I do not understand why this happened and what can be done to correct this?
Thanks so much for all your replies.

YouTube is much like Facebook recently, and they’re changing things so sometimes using the full embed code doesn’t work. I recommend using the shortcode method, which does always work:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/
Additionally, if you’re pasting Embed code into the visual editor, you’re going to run into problems in most themes. Put it in the HTML editor instead.
