YouTube Video Embed On Posts
-
I noticed that when I create a post on WordPress.com through the WP-Admin and try to paste a YouTube link into the body, it does not show the preview of the YouTube video. It just pastes the text of the link, but when you do preview the post, it shows that the video does show up.
Is this a bug?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s odd. When you use the new Editor in WordPress.com, it shows the preview. How come it doesn’t generate in the WP-Admin post Editor?
-
You can see the preview loads when you are using this post editor.

It used to work in the admin and is a WordPress core feature so it should continue working there….

I just confirmed this. Embedding youtube shortcodes in posts and pages in my blogs works properly and displays in preview mode. I use the classic editor and the youtube shortcode. I’m on a PC running windows 10 and using FF 43. https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#embedding-with-a-shortcode

@timethief: creativemediateam is talking about the preview in the editor it self, not in the preview mode.
And I’ve never seen the youtube video appears as preview in the old editor. -
Hello everyone – i realise this is about a youtube video embed. I was hoping someone can help me with a straight embed into wordpress. Would love any thoughts.
The video in questions is here: http://mytamilkitchen.com/2016/01/31/hopper-breakfast-for-lee/
It’s very big. I would like to make it smaller. Any thoughts?
