Youtube video embed: re-size

  • Unknown's avatar

As far as I have looked, this question has not been asked.
When I embed a youtube video in the default size, the default resolution is 360p. This is great.

However, when I want to resize the video by tacking on a &h=25, the default resolution suddenly shifts to 240p. This is bad because it lowers the audio quality of the song I am trying to embed via youtube.

Is it possible to resize a youtube video without sacrificing the default resolution?

    Help is appreciated :)

I just experimented with this the other day to make a music player out of Youtube Embed:

    ....&w=300&h=25
I had not notice any sound quality differences, but you are correct: it automatically shifts the resolution ti 240..

If your height is &h 65 or higher a viewer can use the option to change resolution.
Thats probably not the answer you want, but that is the only way I know to change resolution.

Maybe one of the forum volunteers knows away to change resolution using a work around instead of the standard shortcode.
