Youtube Video not embedding

  I have tried a few different ways of adding a Youtube video to my blog post. I followed these instructions: http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#embedding-with-a-shortcode and inserted the video URL in the From URL/Video URL input field. I tried typing in [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fGaVFRzTTP4], which you can now see is displaying simply as text in the live post.

  I’ve also tried inserting the embed code and and an iframe in the HTML view of the editor.

  The only solution that I have seen that I haven’t yet tried is having my admin turn off ‘visual rich editor’ (which some folks say then gives users the capability to edit the actual code)? In my profile I have unchecked ‘Disable the visual editor when writing’. Although that did change the look of my editor, I still don’t get a real code view of the post content.

  This seems to be more confusing then it should be. Please help!
