Youtube videos don't plug in easily into posts like they used to.

  I used to embed youtube videos into my posts with no trouble at all – I purchased the video press tool and also additional storage – but now I get the error message that this file type is not allowed.

  I have been able to upload my own videos – so what’s happening here ?

  Have you tried pasting the YouTube video’s URL from the address bar on a separate line in the post editor? Here’s more info: https://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/
