Youtube Videos Not Working

For the post http://www.iwebie.com/download-youtube-videos-faq I am not getting the Embedded Youtube Video.
The final script is shown instead ([youtube=http://youtube.com/watch?v=T-RMsZ15dYA]) -
That’s how it works on WordPress.com. You’ll see something like [youtube ...] in the body of your post when editing. Preview or publish it to see the video.
If that’s not what is happening, can you please describe the problem clearly? A link to your post or to the video you are trying to embed would be helpful.

As an aside, it’s not ok that wp.com blocks flash embeds from third parties. I know the security rationale, but it’s patently false and self-serving. wp does this in order to charge potential embedders for the privilege, and it does it at the expense of the users.

lucasgonze, we don’t charge embed partners. It’s 100% a security thing, and a very real one at that.

raincoaster, your links were not relevant. One was from 2005, the other was for Windows servers.
tellyworth, without documentation on the potential exploits I can’t take your claim seriously. This is a dramatic and very important security issue if true, and the many many other vendors who continue to accept Flash and would suffer immediate and drastic attacks need to know. But without substantiation it is just silly handwaving.

If you want to take the risk with Flash, you’re welcome to get independent hosting and do that. But because the guts of our blogs are shared here, I’m very, very glad that we do have these security restrictions; I don’t want to be exposed to the risks the dumbest person using the same theme would accept.

Not working! the complete line [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGCJ46vyR9o] is showing in the preview, instead of the video. I had to put in an image with a link instead. But I want people to play it in the blog!
Advice anyone?
