Youtube working and not working

    The other day, I noticed that Youtubes videos were not working in the comments. I posted here, and someone was kind enough to tell me to just use the url of the videos and not the embed code. I changed one of them, and it worked. I wondered if I was going to have to go through all the comments and change all of them, but I never got a response. Today, I noticed another problem. I posted a Youtube in the comments here:

    Food for Thought: Fast Food Edition

    I posted it as instructed with just the url, not the embed code. It worked fine. When I looked today, the video had disappeared, and only the url remained. I checked the url, and it was correct. I thought that maybe if I added a space before and after, it would work, but it didn’t. However, I tried putting it at the end of the comment instead of in the middle, and then it worked. I left in the code in the middle (which worked fine last night) as well as the video at the end so that you could see what I was talking about.

    Any help would be appreciated, as well as an answer as to whether I have to edit all the old comments with the embed code. I’m not the only one having that problem.

    Report it directly to staff. With the recent upgrade to the “pre-beta” version of wordpress 3.1 there are all sorts of bugs crawling about.

    Thanks. I just reported it.

    I purposely left the url and the video in the comment so that tech support could see what i was talking about. The video works at the end but not in the middle. Go figure.
