z-index? Wrapping and positioning

You can probably get the idea of what I want to do by just looking at the site and the two images on the site. I am having a hard time positioning the logo and nav. (This is were z-index might come in hand?)Don’t worry about styling the nav I will do that later, more worried about the position.
After we do that I would like the text to wrap around the logo a bit. I am sure there is something online already that will help me with that.

AFAIK, it’s not possible to do an adaptive layout like that without using javascript. but i’d have to re-read that article on a list apart.

If you fix the floats right something very similar to that should happen by default, if you set the wrapper as a percentage and fix the width of the content and menus?

Just worried about the navigation and logo. The sidebar is for another time. You should not need javascript for that.
What does AFAIK mean?

I got it.
Now all I need is to incorporate this: http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menu/flow.html
