Zapier with free WordPress account

    Hi there,

    I’m looking to connect a basic blog to my app using Zapier.
    The free WordPress option looks like it should work for my purposes but I can’t figure out how to disable the Jetpack modules to connect to Zapier. Is this possible with a free account? If not what is the cheapest account that can accomplish this? I’m unfortunately working on a tight budget to start my business.

    Hi there,

    It isn’t possible to disable Jetpack modules, no, but there may be ways to work around what you’re intending. What exactly are you hoping to automate using Zapier? If you can let us know the flow you’re aiming to achieve, there may be some workarounds. :)

    Thanks for the quick response :)

    I’m basically trying to create an app with a blog (WordPress) and a shop (Shopify) sections.

    Zapier would simply have to pull the blog articles over to my Firebase/Firestore account. From there I can add it to my app :)

    Oh, okay! If you’re trying to have new blog posts as the trigger of your zap, could you try using the RSS “New Item in Feed” action on Zapier instead? New blog posts would be added to your feed here: https://baconlifeblog.wordpress.com/feed/
