Zazzle. Amazon. Affiliate question.

I am a member of zazzle and I sell my paintings on their products. Am I allowed to link to that or have a sidebar from them on my site. Also I have purchased a domain and it is connected to WordPress.com and I purchased the domain mapping. Am I allowed to post amazon affiliate items for products that I think are newsworthy of my blog? I have not signed up for their affiliate program, but I had wanted to. I would like to know the rules so that I can follow them.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have read tos several times and it says to ask staff. I got a message saying that staff questions were limited when I tried to do that.

No, you are not allowed to post affiliate links to Amazon products generally speaking. You ARE allowed to sell products that you, yourself, create. Not all codes work here, however, so that we can’t guarantee affiliate codes for Zazzle, for instance, will work.

Thanks for your quick reply, and on a holiday for the US to boot!

When you say generally speaking, does that mean you have to have a certain number of views to be able to do it? What does “generally” mean? What amount of views do you officially need? I like to talk about things I like to buy sometimes and I think it would add to the blog. And I might as well get something for it.

I tried to post zazzle’s side panel HTML and it didn’t work of course. From what I gather, they do make exceptions. How do you go about getting an exception? Do you know what the rules are for that?

    Thanks again, whoever answers.
