Zero to Hero: Day Fourteen
-
Today I am tinkering with widgets and I want to know the difference between the follow blog and follow button widgets.
-
I want to plug my new How to Blog: The Sidebar page.
The point of it is to get people discussing what we have on our own sidebars, and what we use on other people’s. I have five poll questions on these. I want to find out what gets people actually reading.
-
This challenge was the most successful one for me thus far! My notifications were smokin! Thank you to all my awesome new followers, for the awards nominations and comments!
-
@huberstephanie, I’d recommend start from day 1; some of the tasks build on things that happened earlier in the challenge.
Also, although the forum threads from the first week are closed now, you might want to take a look anyway — lots of good content in there.
Welcome!
-
staff-ozmodiar, would you mind taking a look at @huberstephanie’s Milestone widget? Thanks!

I have just finally caught up with the challenges, and, finding out where I can comment on the daily topic, ie here, yes I am a slow learner :-)
I’ve done some work on my theme, ended up upgrading a while ago as discovered i couldn’t change the colour of the font which was proving difficult to read esp on a mobile device.
I would love any feedback on my blog’s theme, please.
Also, I do use photos in my posts, I notice some people’s posts have some way to organise multiple photos nicely between the text, is this down to the theme/template they are using, or am I missing something when I am editing my posts?
Hope that all made sense

What is the URL starting with http:// for your blog?
Here’s how to link your username to your blog http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2007/10/06/link-your-username-to-your-blog/
Note also that your fonts question is answered here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/zero-to-hero-day-fifteen?replies=19#post-1601346 and there’s other information in that thread worth reading. -

That’s an image alignment question. See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#alignment
The alignment icons in the WordPress editor are for aligning text; they are not for aligning images. They are used to achieve wrapping text around images on either the right or left hand side, or to display an image that’s centered without text on either side of it.
Align-left means position left, with the rest of the content wrapping around the right side of the image.
Align-right means position right, with the rest of the content wrapping around the left side of the image.
Align-center means position center, with no wrap-around (= the rest of the content below the image).
If the text beside the images does not occupy the same amount of space that the image beside it does then the text wrapping will continue and the images and text that follow will have a staggered appearance.
To prevent the staggered effect what you do is insert the following snippet of code into the Text (HTML) editor after each image/text pair:
<div style="clear:both;"></div> -

re: You are spamming – stop it.
I’m so sorry. :( I humbly apologize on bended knees as I was confused. I had too many tabs open answering support questions and did not notice that this was a zero to hero thread. Again, I do apologize. -
Thank you time thief is will link my name to my blog when I’m not on a mobile device thanks for pointing it out.
