Zero to Hero: Day One

I did it! It’s a long time in coming, but I’ve finally entered the blogging world.
I’d love feedback.

Question: I’m not sure how I insert the widget so that it links back here. Was that the goal? I definitely have the widget in my first post.

The instructions to post the badge in a text widget in your sidebar and link it to the zero to hero challenge page are at the link I provided in the other thread.

This looked like maybe a fun thing to do with my neglected cookie & such site – maybe do a few things with some other people and get a bit of new traffic and encouragement for some long neglected writing – but I had some confusion about the emails and such and was it per blog or per account – the question was rudely blown off by the staff and that really bummed me out – left a bad taste in my mouth so I will probably skip this exercise –

Argh… frustrated with the time difference, only because tasks are being posted at noon in your time, which is midnight (that night) in my time! So, even though slightly behind, I will catch up with my tasks. I say slightly behind because I am actually ahead in time, but by midnight I really need some sleep, so I don’t see the task for 6-8 hours later! Then I’ve got to think, write… unless I’ve had a full-on day like today and haven’t even had a chance to get back to read the task until nearly midnight my time (almost time for the next task).
Sigh.. ok, I’ll play catchup! I really want to revive my blog and learn new skills, so here goes!!

@TT
My question was would I get an email for each blog in my account and was I signing up all my blogs (since some of the blogs are abandoned in place, getting nag crap for an abandoned blog was not high on my list)
the question was put in the original announcement comments – it was rudely left in moderation if she did not want to answer in the Post thread or was afraid to, no problem – just refer me to where I could have gotten the answer – also my email is about two clicks away for the staff so she could have sent a note outside the thread – the three minutes would have been a large amount of time I guess – so the comment / question was left with the middle finger in moderation – bad taste –
You are subscribed to the blog in question- so if I get “All I wanted for Christmas was a bar of soap” or “The appointment with god” (not about religion but ethics and fire-starters & pancake mix) – you will get to read them – the latter has been in the hopper for about a year
Take care & have a nice time – I am off to do 2013 time reports for presentation to the CG Commandant – very fun activity – maybe I should blog about that some time

Man, I can’t believe I only managed to post up my introduction post four minutes before the next challenge is up but such is the suffering of living halfway across the world from everyone else.
Do check out my introduction post (http://thegreatgabsby.wordpress.com/2014/01/04/i-am-gabriel-hear-me-blog/) and all the best to everyone during the challenge!

I already had an about me on my blog but I consider this an introduction of sorts to who I am, and I think it also explains why I am here. Looking forward to getting to know the other bloggers.

Putting up an ‘about me’ page has always been a roadblock of sorts for me because I normally don’t like talking about myself much to strangers. But as one of the reasons I started blogging was to open up more, here it goes – http://thepenspeaksbetter.wordpress.com/
Do check it out, folks! And thank you, Daily Post!

Nervous. Hopeful. Excited. Did I mention really nervous?
I think this exercise is great, and exactly the sort of directed “Just do it” outline I needed. First challenge done quite late last night. On to the next!http://obscurereferencehere.wordpress.com/
Good luck, everyone!

You would do well to take the advice TT gave you and everyone else, she works on the help forum and knows best, if you go to the forum she will likely be the one that will give you advice.

Hey guys and gals. My name is Frank Amelio; however I do prefer to be called Ley. Sadly I couldn’t do this challenge yesterday; had to go to bed for an extremely early wakeup for work today, so I came today to say that I am a day late and a kuna (Croatian Currency) short. But I hope you enjoy the read.
