Zero to Hero: Day One
-
@michelleweber
How can you change the author on a second blog you have so it does not show that the first blog is the author? -
Very challenging since my blog is “100 Words of Fiction”… 100 words!
But challenge accepted. Bring it on 2014!Kudos to everyone!

Surely this post should be a sticky at the top of the page, every time someone posts here its moving people down the page who are looking for help.
I thought this section of the forum was only for help with problems, not to promote. -
@edenblooms, you have a few options — you can make the post sticky, which will pin it to the top of your home page. You can also add a widget (like a text widget or the “Popular Posts”) widget to highlight posts in the sidebar.
Here’re the details on sticky posts: http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/
And here are text widget basics:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/@captureyourphotography, you can choose which author is displayed for each post — go to the full list of posts in your dashboard, pick the post, and click “Quick Edit.” You can choose the author there.
-
Can anyone tell me how to edit a forum post… or if it’s even possible. (Still figuring all of this out.) Thanks!
-
-
@dribblingpensioner, that’s why it’s in the “ideas” forum, which is a place for support and sharing, rather than the help-focused parts of the forums.

maryslow – To edit a blog post go to the page its posted and on the left side you should see edit.. Second way is go into your dashboard up to then find that post and edit…
-
@michelleweber Does quick edit only work once its published for changing the author because when in quick edit there is not way to get into the author part of the post?

timethief, it’s open to anyone. Better blogging is better blogging, no matter your platform.
Thanks for the response. I don’t want the commercial like button spammers on my new blog. Having their gravatars appear on my posts in my two other blogs pisses me right off as it is. So if I get ANY at all then I will be notfying Staff that I want them removed forthwith.

I am really excited for this challenge! I had an existing intro page, but used this as an opportunity to rewrite and refocus it. This is the link:
http://anecdotelove.wordpress.com/about/ .I do have one question. My intro is a page (not a post) and I couldn’t figure out how to tag the page. If someone could solve that mystery for me that would be great!
-
I am so very excited about this!! Tomorrow is forever away! I am pleased with my introduction and cannot wait to read more of yours!

Well I’ve added the initial post :)
I’m really enjoying following The Daily Post and trying out the challenges, they seem to be helping with my consistency and confidence

Looks like a lot of people are doing this challenge. Woot woot. I wish everyone the best of luck!
I just wrote the intro post you can find it at:

Hey fellow bloggers! I’m joining in! Get ready. I had to be creative with this first challenge since every blog title starts with WhyiDont. It was fun!
