Zero to Hero: Day Seven

Changed my header and colors today…..not sure I like it. Since I started my blog about a year ago I’ve changed the header and colors three times!

This was great because, at the end day of day 5 I chose not to change my theme.Despite the fact that my original theme did not allow for a header I went shopping for images anyway. I found one I thought was so perfect I had to go back and change my theme to fit it in. I like the whole appearance of my blog much better now.

I actually had just finished changing my theme from the challenge the other day and while I was there changed my header by adding a picture of some muffins I made. As my blog is about food I wanted a food picture on there. I still need to sort out my widgets now that I’ve changed the theme.

Hi there,
After you change your theme all you need to do is go here Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > Inactive Widgets and re-install them where you want them to appear. The widget contents and settings will be the same as they were prior to changing themes. -

@timethief many thanks your a legend! & you are right again. I had done some pretty strange things by diving in head first, I should go a little slower. It almost like getting lost to find my way!!! I’ve done some sorting and seem to be back on track it wast something I had altered on my macbook – Google settings “zoom” it had never happened before. it was not on wordpress. Im quite happy with the visuals of my blog for now ~ I’m going to focus on clarity & content of what my blog and stay out of customizing I’ve read a few of your comments about searching utilities? Can you expand on what searching utilities?

Hello zero to hero folks ! Well, I gave day 7 a try, I did change my header, which I like very much, and with much trepidation added a photo from Flickr with what I hope was proper attribution. I’m particularly wary of doing things like embedding youtube videos, (although I love them and think it could be fun to share them) and I found this site which answered a few questions (and made me even more wary of doing this…)
What do you ZtoH staffers recommend about videos? -
