Zero to Hero: Day Seven
-
I had so much fun using PicMonkey to play around with a new header image using one of my pictures. I changed my header, but I am not sure what I think yet. I think I’ll give a few days before making a decision to keep it or not. Thank you to the blogger who suggested PicMonkey!

@michelleweber, so this Zero to Hero Challenge is the very first one? I think it’s a great boost for beginning bloggers, so you should definitely do it again in 2015.
-
I finally got my blog done the way I like it. I changed my tag line to a shorter one. My last one was really long.

Feedback anyone? I’m off to check out your cool blogs!

@lunacooler, it sure it! We definitely plan to offer it again, along with other booster challenges during the year.
I’ll be sending a survey to everyone at the end of the month, so your honest feedback will make it even better for the next crop of bloggers!

I can’t wait for Theme Thursday! I really like the themes WordPress releases because the background and header can’t get too much in the way of reading the blog posts.
-
@aimeeheartsjewelry I absolutely love your blog. Your latest post got you a follow, I feel the same way!
-
@aimeeheartsjewelry if you were wondering who suggested PicMonkey, it was I who did. I’m not trying to brag, just trying to clear things up :)

Thank you Michelleweb. What I was looking for was how to adjust the column width.
I feel accomplished now.

loved this task I never would have even thought of doing that. I like how it looks with the image background to my Callejas Thinks title

Oh god a visual challenge. I am horrible at making things look good and this is going to take me a lot longer than a day. Is anyone else in this position?

After reading some posts here, I learned that it is easy to overlay your own text onto photos, without spending money on software.
I spent a few hours last night playing with Piction and Preview on the Mac. It is such a laborious process for me (I had to search for things such as ‘what is the dock on the Mac?’, ‘what is the wand picture for on preview’ – this is how basic my knowledge is). Also, I had to update all my operating systems as they are so out of date (I still have not managed this on my phone because despite finding a search that told me how to delete all the 1000 photos on there without selecting each one, I still couldn’t do it!).
It is, however, great to know that with a bit more practice I will be able to get the text I want over the photo I want.
@timethief @michelleweber – can you tell me what search I should enter to try to learn how to delete the light fitting from the wall in the background of my photo (light fitting is rectangular with squares on it). I tried but using the wand on preview just left a smooth grey blob that did not match the grainy effect of the photo. I want to put my text in that area.
Can’t believe I was thinking about going self hosted last month!!! -
HELP….
Im going crazy here people and almost ready to throw the towel in and press delete blog!Ive screwed up a few things.
1. dashboard drop down has gone.
2. side bar has dropped down under page – Ive deleted all widgets.
3. 2 x HOME page
This is too much for me! should I just delete blog and start again????
really appreciate if there is anyone out there in the bloggosphere who can offer advice. Many thanks jenn -
@jonathanyeong – I am with you
@jenniferjgrainger – If I can do it I know you can. Not sure how to solve your problems but stick with it. You will get there!!!!!! -
I had just done this on both my blogs.
I do have a question. I would like all my blog post to be a group together so it is not splitting up my photography post how would I go about doing that?
I know with images we can create galleries so I am assuming there might be a way to do this.Sonya

I did not say that quite right… Let me try again.
Is there a way to put all the challenge post together like in a group and all my photography post together so that is not mixed up. Like one challenge post and the one photography post?
