Zero to Hero: Day Two
-
-
I accidentally put this in day 1… here it is in the proper thread:
Thanks to all the folks who had suggestions for me. Unsurprisingly, I am still hesitant to name my blog, so Jillian Martin remains. I will let you know when I am finally hit with inspiration and the name changes.
I did make the about me widget on the side, however. Please take a look and comment on how stinkin’ adorable I was as a kid. That picture may change as I go through some redesigning in terms of color… but who knows when I’ll finally decide to commit to that?

This is an interesting task. I’ve always had my blog name as “Andrea Blythe.” I’ve considered changing it, but as a poet and fiction writer using my name seems the best option at this point, so that it’s clear for any readers to find me if they want. So, I’m going to stick with it.
I have been playing around with the tag line, though, trying to make it clear what I am and yet show a little personality. I don’t know if I’m there yet, but it’s something I’ll keep working on. Right not the tagline is: “Poet, Writer, Lover of Life”.
I don’t have an about box yet and I’m not sure I need it. Also, I don’t want to much stuff cluttering the sidebar.
-
Why does a tagline seem to have all the pressure of a THESIS Statement? I’ve never been very good at condensing things down into small pieces. As can we see with my previous novel-length blog posts.
But I finished Day 2.

I started my blog a while ago, but I’m accepting this challenge for 2014! I just changed my blog’s tagline today. Check it oouuut: ricasuave.com

This was a hard task. I like my title and not sure what else to change it too. That would still go with my tag line. I did add the text widget though and think I might just need another theme that displays more prominently. I’d appreciate any feedback though. So let me know.

I’ve had my blog for quite a while now, but I’m never certain about names, so this is a great chance to have a think about it, and hopefully get feedback from others on my name/tagline.

I write short stories, flash fiction, and notes on writing. Is the name too abstract?

just made the blog line.
The art of doing nothing
gave the title and made the About be and contact pages
this challenge is also done. You can check the results here http://healthywealthyblog.com/about/
waiting for the 3rd challenge!!! -
Well, I guess I’m kinda lost when it comes to forums. But now I have found it so I guess it doesn’t harm sharing my blog here.
I write about my life and sometimes I let my creativity flow in other ways. Here’s my blog: http://cyclonus97.wordpress.com/
Why that name? Well, one can argue that life has stages as confusing and complementary as quarks. (Maybe I’ll change it soon, who knows?)
-
Well, I didn’t change my blog title, but added a tag line and an “about” widget. I also added an About page, and added a new post! What I am realizing today is that Zombie Flamingoes is a work in progress- I am excited to see where my blogging journey takes me, and to seeing where I am in a year, and reflecting back on where I am today!
-
I’m pretty happy with my blog title and tagline – Staying Mom – musings of an American mom raising her three Aussie kids – but I know my About me widget needs work. I’ve changed it a bit, but I’m still not 100% happy with it, maybe I never will be!
-
I already have a title and tagline I quite like – what do you think about it? I added a short description in the sidebar of the blog, as well. Please give me any feedback :)
-
I underwent a name change myself, and this one feels more personalized. I wrote a bit about my process and why I changed my title, as well, to make it a bit worth while. Lemme know what you think! :)
-
Well I kept my blog/site name but added my tagline and about widget.
Can’t say as I’m really happy about either. It is what I want to say but it sounds pretentious, and the Tagline isn’t quite right… -
I already had a title and tagline, and I’m still thinking about how I want to update my “about” page. But today I made an Image Widget! I discovered that there is no “Image Widget” to use on WP.org (which is where my blog is), but I figured out how to put it up, and I’m happy with it. It DOES give the blog a distinctive look – thanks!
My title is a play on my last name and the fact that I’m using the blog to tell the story of my somewhat odd life and where it’s taken me.
-
Naming my blog was one of the hardest parts of starting one. And a tag line…oh no!
But I settled on “Something Sage”. My name is Sage.
Trying to rethink the name and all I come up with is…well…nothing.
So what do you think? Is the name okay? Is there a reason to change it?As for the tagline…..is using a quote by someone else somehow wrong? “Writing, to me, is simply thinking through my fingers. Isaac Asimov” was my entire “about” page. I’ve changed that per this assignment. Also cleaned up some widgets.
I really needed this. Thank you, WordPress!
-
I’ve been okay with my name and tagline, but I wanted to go through the exercise thinking about it. I wanted to stay with the title, because it represents what I do. So I added to the title and changed the tagline. Now I think they are both too wordy and perhaps I’ve missed the point?
If anyone has anything to suggest, I sure would appreciate it. BTW, up until this challenge, the title was “Living Fully No Matter What” and the tagline was…oh heck, now I forgot what it was after playing with it so much!! LOL…..
My site is blackhillsreiki.wordpress.com if anyone has time to give me some feedback. Thanks so much!

I have completed my day 2 assignment. I am excited because I have always wanted to start a blog but I have never continued with it. I am happy because at the end of day 2 I am still on top of things and each day I am excited about this experience.

I’ve completed day 2, just a little undecided on adding in the widget or not and where I should put it. Anyways, here is my about page, which I touched up today
