.zip of my whole blog? CAPS LOCK FOR URGENCY

    I urgently need immediate help with creating a .zip version of my entire wordpress.com blog. It must be uploaded to my school’s dropbox by 2 am EST, with ALL of the contents, including the theme, images, and files. I have no money, so I can’t do the guided transfer to the .org version. I have no experience in site hosting or web building, so I went with the WYSIWYG site builder. WordPress.com features an export option, so I expected it to result in a single download of every file on the site, but it only results in an xml file that can only move contents to another wordpress.com blog, which is not what the school requires. I do not know how to export the site to a .zip file. I have Dreamweaver CS 5.5. I appreciate any help you can give me.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    That cannot be done at wordpress.com. Themes, widgets and the underlying site files are not exported. Only the page and post content, categories and tags are exported.

    I don’t want to export the widgets and underlying site files, really. All I want is a static snapshot of the site. HTTrack can make copies of sites, and there’s probably other free web copiers out there, but I don’t see why I can get a copy of the same files that are being imported into another wordpress.com blog.

    I’m also looking into using XAMPP to start up a wordpress.org blog and then import the files to that site, and then zip up that site. It keeps not starting Apache, though.

    Why don’t you just save every page on the site as a html file from your browser? You only have about forty posts. You could probably get it done in the time it’s taking you to research an automated solution.

    @joeybuddy96
    You could also build another site with only pdfs using something like “print friendly” and “scribd.” The images would be all saved with your text as pdfs but you’d have a sort of copy of your blog…
